La Pasta Italian Eatery
La
Pasta open in 1992 as one of the fabulous dining establishments in Dorset,
Minnesota. Owned and operated by Kathy and Jerry Schmidt, they bring to
you a sampling of fine Italian food done in a family atmosphere with
dining areas designed to give a cozy feeling of your own home. The
restaurant is open from May through September, daily from 7:30 am to 9:30
pm, weekends in May and September. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Both Kathy and Jerry are there on a daily basis to make sure your stay in Dorset
pleasurable. Friends are made and friends are found in Dorset.
Breakfast is a traditional fare but has a few local favorites, including the famous "Dorset Pockets", a specialty of fruit filled french toast. The potato pancakes and "Norwegian Um-lette" promise an exciting breakfast experience. A great selection of omelettes round off our great breakfast menu.
Lunch begins at 11:00am everyday except Sunday and then at 12:00 noon. Like most of the fare at La Pasta it is another dining experience. A small sampling of the exceptional Italian cuisine can be found along with a large assortment of burgers, salads, wraps and sandwiches. The burgers named after Generals provide an interesting lesson in history plus a tasting experience found nowhere in the area. Salads, wraps and fantastic sandwiches are found throughout the menu. Please note lunch ends at 2:00 pm so don't be late.
Possibly the most exciting meal begins at 5:00 pm daily and that is our renowned Italian menu. The menu consists of Italian food found throughout the world. Portobello & Penne, Chicken Genovese, Cappesante con Pesto are but a few of the entrees plus all of the traditional items to please all appetites. The ever evolving menu promises to be a culinary delight. Each season a few new items are added after much testing and perfecting. With over fifty individual items to choose from we promise to offer quality, selection and value. A few American dishes are available for the not so adventurous along with a children's menu. We also have a full selection of moderately priced wine, plus a large selection of great beers.
The Dorset General Store is located in the same building
as La Pasta and can meet all of your needs whether they be souvenirs, ice,
groceries or beverages. Why drive all the way into town when all your needs can be
taken care of
in Dorset? Take a quick break from riding the Heartland Trail, sit on our
boardwalk and enjoy a cool drink or snack or join us in the air-conditioned
dining room for a great meal. Both the dining room and convenience store
are Handicap Accessible. Bike rack available as well as parking. Eat, shop
